- Baked Vegan Donuts (Vegan, Refined sugar free) -
Healthy vegan donuts (and refined sugar free!) yess!!! It’s not deep fried so you get to satisfy your donut craving with less than half the fat and sugar. This is perfect. Glaze and top it off with your favourite ingredients and you’re good to go! Plus its so quick to make, it only took me about 15mins to prepare the ingredients and another 10-15mins in the oven. Here’s to delicious vegan donuts that won’t comprise your summer body <3



Recipe:
Makes 6 doughnuts
Ingredients
Dry ingredients
130g of plain flour
35g of coconut sugar
1.5 tsp of baking powder
½ tsp of salt
½ tsp of nutmeg
Pinch of cinnamon
Wet Ingredients:
45g of Vegan butter
120ml of oat milk (or any type of plant milk)
½ tsp of vanilla essence
½ tsp of apple cider vinegar
1 flax / chia egg (1tbsp of grounded chia / flax mixed with 3tbsp of water)
Glaze: Vegan chocolate / melt cacao powder with cacao butter to make your own chocolate glaze
Preheat the oven to 180C
Mix the dry ingredients together in a bowl
Mix the wet ingredients over a pan until the vegan butter is melted
Mix the wet ingredients into the dry, mix until just incorporated
Grease your doughnut pan if needed, scoop the mixture into each doughnut cavity, smoothen it out with the back of a spoon
Bake for 10-12mins, the toothpick should come out clean
Invert pans over a cooling rack to release the doughnuts
Allow the doughnuts to cool before decorating
Melt the vegan chocolate or make your own chocolate glaze by melting the cacao powder with cacao butter. Dip your donut into the glaze and let it set.
