- Noms of Hong Kong: Kale -
A restaurant named after one of my favourite vegetables?! What!?! Sadly kale is so expensive here in Hong Kong, and spinach as well. I really miss having my go to salad back when I was in London (kale, spinach, wakamame, edamame, beancurd with a squeeze of lemon and some tsuyu). So I’m hoping Kale would’ve satisfied my cravings for one of my beloved vegetables.
We ordered from the set menu $98 for an appetizer, main and hot tea. My friend and I both opted for the Chef’s salad, which was mainly composed of bean sprouts and peas. I love how light and refreshing the salad was, it definitely opened up my appetite for the main.

As for the main, we tried the kale crab fried rice (fried brown rice with crabmeat and kale). I love how they used brown rice instead of white rice and fried with crabmeat was really delicious. However, I wish the kale wasn’t chopped up so finely so I could taste the texture a bit more. But apart from that it was delicious, I would come back for sure!
